Utabukuro #Geisha

I don't have much of Haiku knowledge nor do I know much about any renowned Haiku poets.

I am not much of a frog lover but I did like the Haiku about 'Geisha' written by Chèvrefeuille.

geisha's secret life
gathering tea leaves
for her lover

 as she always did
as long as i can recall
longing his return

dreaming his visit
she glows in his love's casket
as he hugs her tight

but her dream's broken
as she hears the cuckoos call
crestfallen within

mustering courage
she again gathers tea leaves
           for her lover......

Book Review: All Yours, Stranger by Novoneel Chakraborty

Name of the Book: All Yours, Stranger

Author: Novoneel Chakraborty

Publisher: Random House India

About the Author: Novoneel Chakraborty is the author of five bestselling romantic thriller novels. He works in Indian television and films and lives in Mumbai. (Via Flipkart)

Blurb: For those of you who don't know me yet, I'm Rivanah Bannerjee, a Kolkatan trying to find her footing in Mumbai. Even though I’m currently in a relationship with a great guy, I can’t help but miss my ex-boyfriend despite knowing that he cheated on me. But that’s the least of my worries. The stranger has gone missing since the police tried to nab him unsuccessfully. Where is he? What does he want from me? Why did he come into my life in the first place? Will he ever contact me again? These and many more questions continue to torment me every day. I’m desperate for the stranger to come back to me knowing full well that he may destroy me forever. But then that’s the sexiest thing I have ever known about someone.

With every revelation, it seems the truth is far more twisted than Rivanah can imagine. Wickedly plotted, All Yours, Stranger—Novoneel Chakraborty’s gripping follow-up to his hugely popular Marry Me, Stranger—will keep you on the edge of your seat until the last page. Book two of the Stranger trilogy. (Via Flipkart)

Verdict: As the blurb clearly states, the story revolves around Rivanah who since her time in Mumbai has been stalked by a stranger who forces her to do few things which are against her wishes, but at the same time arouses her like no one else. The aura, the mystery and the curiosity always gets better of her.

By the end of the first book the stranger had suddenly hidden himself from her and was nowhere to be seen neither did he contact her. But will he contact her this time? Will she ever know who this stranger is whom she desperately wants to meet? Will this mystery find it ways to reveal itself? Let’s find out……

Positives:
1) Brilliantly sketched story line.
2) Beautiful cover.
3) The characters have been described to perfection.

Negatives:
1)   Stumbled across a very few spelling mistakes, maybe two or three, which I’m sure can be totally avoided when the story is so intriguing.

To sum up with the review it’s perfectly awesome story line and a sequel to Marry Me, Stranger which in itself is a brilliant novel. The author has grown immensely in the way he projects his story and has an expertise to turn a series of mysteries without leaving the story overburdened or letting it lose its charm.

All in all it’s a steal deal to grab and read as soon as possible (I completed in just one sitting) it’s so involving and raises your curiosity as to what will happen next.

Ratings: 5 OUT OF 5.
