Name of
the Book: He Said
She Said
Author: Angad Singh Saluja & Priyanka Bhardwaj
Publisher: Shambhabi – The Third
Eye Imprint
About the Book: I have been confident of the poetic spirit
of Angad Singh Saluja for a considerable period of time, and now I have been
mesmerized by the renditions of the talented poet Priyanka Bharadwaj. He Said
She Said is a wonderful collection of poems that will be cherished by the
general readers of literature as well as the poetry-lovers. A collection that
will make you proud! - Kiriti Sengupta

Verdict: This poem book is a compilation of poems by two
poets Angad and Priyanka. By seeing the name it attracted me as the title was
different it seemed like it might be somewhat like duet poems with some witty
replies by both the poets but to my disappointment it turned out to be just
another compilation of poems with 25 poems in both the sections – He Said and
She Said respectively. The cover page is designed quite well.
Nevertheless let’s see what both the poets have in for us in the form of
their poems.
He
Said
About the Poet: Angad Singh Saluja, is a writer, poet, an
entrepreneur and a speaker who has been creating a revolution with his first
book Chords Of Life, creating record sales and some phenomenal reviews in the
literary world. He has been published in various national anthologies which
have got him acclaim from various poetry groups and reviewers. His poem “Walking
Forever” has been published in an anthology Endless Love in England, U.K. in
September, 2013 and has been circulated at all British Libraries across the
world and the Republic of Ireland. He is one of the ten poets in India whose
works have been critically reviewed in a book titled My Dazzling Bards,
authored by Kiriti Sengupta & published by The Poetry Society of India,
Gurgaon.
Verdict: This book and this
section started with a poem “Why I Write” didn’t catch my eye. For first
impression to last as last impression it wasn’t quite appropriate. I personally
didn’t like the poems written in this section as some of them lacked the flow
or couldn’t connect with the feel of its theme/genre or whatever you name it
as.
The following are the poems which I liked and found better than the others
from this section:
1)
Come What May
2)
Love Of A Lifetime
3)
Born Once Born Twice
4)
My Love
5)
No Matter What
6)
You ‘N’ Me
7)
And I Fail
8)
Yes, I’m Raped
9)
Covered
These are
the poems which are better out of these some are good and some are nice, while
the rest are okay.
To sum up with the review of this section, I had loads of hope but it didn’t
turn out well but as its always said it’s not the last I’m sure the poet can
come up with the best of his verses next time.

She
Said
About the Poet: Priyanka Bhardwaj, is a prolific writer in
English-language. After doing her Bachelors in English from the University of
Delhi, she acquired a post-graduate diploma in Public Relations from Sardar
Patel College of Communication and Management, Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan. Priyanka
has recently added an MBA degree to her academic qualifications. Her debut
novel, Red is for Love, Black is for Kohl got released in August, 2013 and it
has received great feedback from the readers all over. Her skill in literary
English and her proficiency in the art of presenting beautiful ironical facts
of life in fictional form make her a contemporary writer of note.
Verdict: I have read the poet’s
verses before and have been impressed as well and as I had expected this
section has lived upto my expectations. This section has many poems displaying
the dark shade of life and people.
This section started with the poem “Loose” which is a wonderful start to
this section. The feelings have been portrayed very well and it stands for the
quote – “First Impression is the Last Impression”.
The following are the poems that I loved the most:
1)
Loose
2)
Damsel In Distress
3)
A Carnal Fervor
4)
To The Fear Of Self
5)
Font 35
6)
Thirty Minutes
7)
I Am Afraid
8)
Void Stored, Life Drained
9)
The Old Woman, The Old Man
10) Look
Out For Me?
11) She
Exists In The Nonexistent
12) Please
Remember Me
13) In
Death She Did Write
14) Living
To Die
15) You
The rest of the poems are good but these turn out to be wonderful and the
best.
