I Stand......

Photography by Pratyush Pushkar

Alone I stand
In midst of my beings
Bereft of my wings
That shades my soul-
Green for the glee
As I sway with the wind
Orange for the glum
That stays within
Yellow the hue of wither
As I’ll fall on the ground below
Brown the tinge of my rust
When my wings are nothing but crust

Today as I stand alone
I found my wings
With their rusted crust
Flowing and following
To the tunes of the zephyr
Without turning back
They tear me apart
And bid me their
Unsaid goodbye
But I still stand tough
With all my strength
To survive the storm

Hirune (nap)

with only a bag
to call as his property
he sleeps mindlessly

in his midday nap
owning a kind content heart
dreaming of new dawn

while the dewdrops shine

Utabukuro #Geisha

I don't have much of Haiku knowledge nor do I know much about any renowned Haiku poets.

I am not much of a frog lover but I did like the Haiku about 'Geisha' written by Chèvrefeuille.

geisha's secret life
gathering tea leaves
for her lover

© Chèvrefeuille

 as she always did
as long as i can recall
longing his return

dreaming his visit
she glows in his love's casket
as he hugs her tight

but her dream's broken
as she hears the cuckoos call
crestfallen within

mustering courage
she again gathers tea leaves
           for her lover......

Recalling

to enact an act
on martyr's cemeterywe lay a small stage

closing our eyes, ears and lips
holding with our hands
recalling Gandhi

i did a long somersault
to seek my lover

Rainbow Aura

 river stone shimmers
beneath the flowing river
while sun shines on them

trapped between the two
creating rainbow aura
hypnotizing us

Doomsday

cataclysmic clash

Far and Beyond

far and beyond time
waited a guard's woman
to reunite love

A Grain of Thought and A Grain of Love

Is this all?
Just a grain of thought
That makes your mind go round
Giving rationale to your whole dream world
Sweeping you in its enchanting abyss
Swoosh you go in its clutch
Liberating yourself
In its nest

Is this all?
Just a grain of love
That you so wishfully desire
To sway you in its mesmerizing dance
As it excites your inner cores
Freeing your soul’s scuff
And surrender
To love
